Shipping with BRT pallets
You can ship pallets with BRT using the following shipping methods:
- BRT Pallet 50–100 kg
- BRT Pallet 100–200 kg
- BRT Pallet 200–300 kg
- BRT Pallet 300–400 kg
- BRT Pallet 400–500 kg
When shipping a pallet with BRT, the following conditions apply:
- The label must be applied to the pallet, not to each individual parcel.
- BRT handles the shipment as one pallet shipment, so individual parcels on the pallet are not scanned separately.
- All parcels on the pallet must be shipped to the same address.
Shipping specifications
- Maximum base dimensions: 120 × 80 cm
- Maximum height: 180 cm
No additional pallet-related surcharge applies as long as the pallet stays within the standard dimensions above.
If these dimensions are exceeded, surcharges may apply or the shipment may be refused.
A surcharge may also apply if the pallet is not stackable, meaning it has an irregular shape that does not allow stacking or does not create a regular support surface for other material to be placed on top of the pallet.
For a full overview of possible additional charges, see the BRT surcharges article.
Pickup requirements
BRT pallet shipments require a recurring pickup arrangement. Occasional (incidental) pickups are not supported, as availability cannot be guaranteed.
When scheduling a pickup, you must clearly indicate that the shipment is a pallet shipment and ensure that all shipment details are accurate.
To ensure a smooth pickup process, the following conditions apply:
- Volume expectations: There is no strict minimum, but BRT prefers approximately 2 pallets per pickup or 100 pallets per month.
- No pallets to hand over? Always inform your local BRT branch in advance.
-
Empty pickup requests:
- From the third pickup without pallets, a €25 surcharge will be applied per request.
- Repeated empty pickup requests may result in loss of access to Sendcloud’s pre-negotiated rates.

Weight and invoicing
The shipment cost is calculated based on the actual weight.
Make sure to enter the correct weight and dimensions when creating the label. BRT checks the shipment when the pallet arrives at the branch, and differences may lead to additional charges.
Like all carriers, BRT applies transport conditions. If the shipment does not meet these conditions, surcharges may apply or the shipment may be refused.
