Additional Screening and Prohibited Items for International Shipments

All parcels from Europe to the USA, Canada, Latin America, and Australia (except shipments under 453 grams) will undergo additional screening by FedEx before entering the network. Shipments in original packaging, such as perfume boxes, wine crates, or electronics, are exempt from visual inspection.

Shipments containing prohibited items, such as Liquids, Aerosols, Gels (LAGs), or electrical/electronic devices (e.g., hairdryers or phones) in the same package will be rejected and returned to the sender. These items must be shipped separately. Additionally, shipments, where the contents do not match the item declaration on the Air Waybill (AWB), will also be rejected and returned.

Pick-up

You can schedule incidental pick-ups with FedEx through your Sendcloud panel. For more information on requesting an incidental pick-up, read our How can I request a parcel pickup? article.

For incidental pickups: The pickup requests can only be scheduled for the same day or the next business day. Attempting to schedule a pickup for any later date will result in an error: "Pickup Date too far in the future."

Fixed pick-ups with FedEx with Sendcloud are free of charge and available if you ship >10 parcels per pickup. To arrange fixed pickups, contact our Support team, providing them with the information below.

FedEx Pickup Requirements

For international shipments collected from unknown businesses or residential addresses, FedEx now requires an ID check to ensure the authenticity of the shipment. This policy mandates the following:

ID Verification:

Couriers must request a valid photo ID from the person handing over the shipment, regardless of its contents. The identification should match the individual presenting the shipment. If the person declines to provide valid identification, the shipment should be refused.

Shipping Document Review:

Couriers should carefully inspect the shipping documents, focusing on the content description. Shipments will be rejected and returned to the sender under the following conditions:

Prohibited Items: Shipments containing Liquids, Aerosols, and Gels (LAGs) packed alongside electrical or electronic devices (e.g., hairdryers, mobile phones, or devices with batteries) will be rejected. These items must be shipped separately.
Content Mismatch: If the contents do not match the item declaration on the Air Waybill (AWB), the shipment will also be rejected and returned.

FedEx Shipping methods with a direct contract

If you want to start shipping using one of the shipping methods displayed below, you must first have a FedEx carrier contract and connect it to your Sendcloud account. You can find information about obtaining a contract with FedEx here. Keep in mind that your contract with FedEx might state different conditions from the ones displayed below. It's always best to contact FedEx directly or check your contract. If you don't have/want a direct contract with FedEx, you can use the shipping methods at the start of this article.

FedEx Europe First®

You need to include all required labels with your shipment. The number of labels that print out varies by destination country to facilitate the customs clearance process. Please follow the instructions on the shipping label

For international shipment, what should I do with the copies of the main label ?

you need to affix one international label to the package and place all other labels inside the pouch (among other customs documents or Commercial Invoice)
