Create a Dynamic Checkout configuration
There are six steps involved in setting up Dynamic Checkout:
- Install the Checkout API
- Create a template
- Create a delivery zone
- Set up your shipping methods
- Send your template to a shop
- Publish your shop
This article will cover how to create a delivery zone and publish a checkout configuration. From this point, you can proceed to set up your desired shipping methods and add pricing.
You can begin by clicking the Dynamic Checkout tab at the top of your Sendcloud panel.
Step 1: Install the checkout feature
Install the checkout feature for the Checkout API.
Step 2: Create template
Once you've installed the checkout feature, it's time to start creating a template by clicking on New template +
. A template allows you to create and save your Dynamic Checkout information, without the need to link it to an integration. This means that no information is lost when you disconnect your shop and you can reuse templates over and over with minor adjustments.
Step 3: Delivery zones
After you've clicked on New template +
it's time to choose a delivery zones. Within each delivery zone you can add multiple delivery methods which will only be shown for customers with an address in that zone. For example, if you create a delivery zone for the Netherlands, any customer who inputs a Dutch delivery address when placing their order will see the delivery methods you configured for that specific zone.
When you're editing, everything will be saved until you publish your draft.
How to set up a delivery zone:

- Login to your Sendcloud panel
- Navigate to the Dynamic Checkout tab
- If configured, your integration should appear under the section Shops
- Click on
New template +
- Click the
New delivery zone
button - Choose the country of delivery* for which you want to set up a delivery zone from the drop down menu
- Click
Save
Once you've created a delivery zone, you can choose what kind of delivery options you want to offer to your customers. *If you have an active sender address saved in your Sendcloud account details for a delivery zone, you can select any of the available delivery methods. If you don't have an active sender address in the delivery zone, you will only be able to create a standard delivery option.
- To begin configuring, click
New delivery method
next to the delivery zone you just created in the Dynamic Checkout tab.
Step 4: Choose your delivery methods
Select one of the guides below to get started:
Standard delivery
Set up next day, standard & international deliveries
Same-day delivery
Offer same-day delivery before a chosen cut-off time
Nominated day delivery
Let your buyer choose the delivery date
Step 5: Send template to shop
Once you've completed your template, you can send it to one or multiple shops.
Templates are only visible in Sendcloud and won't appear in your checkout until you've published a shop containing this template.
Edit or delete templates:
- At Dynamic Checkout > Templates, click

in front of the delivery zone in question - Edit or delete a delivery method by clicking the pencil icon (edit) or bin (delete) next to it.
Step 6: Publish your shop
Now that your template(s) are linked to a shop, you can publish your Dynamic Checkout. Follow the steps below to publish:
- Go to Dynamic Checkout > Shops
- Click

>Publish
Until your Shop is published, the status will remain Draft (or Empty when no templates have been sent).
Edit or delete within your shop:
- Go to Dynamic Checkout > Shops
- Click
