Purpose: The purpose of this article is to guide you through the setup of the Service Point Delivery method within Sendcloud's Dynamic Checkout.
The Dynamic Checkout is deprecated for WooCommerce and Magento. As a current Dynamic Checkout plugin user, you can continue using the feature, but it will no longer be maintained or updated. Moving forward, you can continue using this feature through our Dynamic Checkout API. It’s currently in open Beta, meaning that it’s still under development. During this phase, we will continually monitor and test the API to improve its performance, review the returned data, and uncover potential bugs. For more information, consult our Dynamic Checkout API documentation.
Service Point Delivery through Dynamic Checkout
Service point delivery allows your customers to pick up their parcels from a convenient location of their choice. This delivery method is a popular alternative to home delivery, often offering a more cost-effective option and higher delivery success rates.
By using Dynamic Checkout, you can easily configure service point delivery and offer it through various carriers.
When customers select this delivery option at checkout, they will be able to choose their preferred service point. This selection will sync with your order system, making the fulfillment process smoother and more efficient for your team.
How to Set Up Service Point Delivery

Step 2: Select the Carrier(s)
You can offer service point delivery through one or more carriers. Here are your options:
-
Single Carrier with Unique Rates: If you want to set different shipping rates for each carrier, you’ll need to create a separate service point delivery method for each one.

Step 3: Configure Shipping Rates
To set the pricing for service point delivery:
- Click on Use Shipping Rates.
- Choose your preferred pricing model:
-
- Fixed Rate: A single, pre-determined shipping cost.
- Custom Weight Classes: Define custom weight classes and assign specific rates for each one. To create custom weight classes, click + New Weight Class.
Step 4: Customize Method Details
Customize the way the service point delivery method is displayed to customers at checkout:
- Public Title: The name of the delivery method visible to customers at checkout.
- Public Description: A brief description of the service point delivery option for customers.
- Internal Title: A reference name for internal use (this will not be visible to customers).
Step 5: Save and Publish
Once everything is configured, click Save Delivery Method to finalize and activate the service point delivery option for your customers.
Optional Features
You can enhance your service point delivery setup with these additional features:

Additional Properties: Define the timeframe for displaying the delivery method and the time you typically hand over parcels to the carrier. This helps streamline the order processing and determine the handover dates more efficiently.
-
Checkout Rules: Create rules to control when this delivery method is visible to customers based on specific conditions. You can activate or deactivate these rules as needed.
