Before you book a pick-up

Before booking a pick-up, it is important to generate a pick-up report. This will help in case any issue occurs during the parcel's journey.

Additionally, make sure to know the conditions of each carrier before you book a pick-up. Please review the conditions of the carriers by clicking on the links provided under each section.

Pick-up options by carrier

Bpost

💡 This is not organised via Sendcloud, but directly on the Bpost website by following this link.
  • Type: Incidental pick-ups only
  • Requirements: You can provide several packages in one request with a maximum of 1,5 m³ and 500 kg per pickup (30 kg per item). The driver will come to any address in Belgium, between 12:00 and 17:00. Cut-off time for same day pickup is 11:30am. 
  • Plan: All subscriptions

PostNL Belgium

  • Type: Recurring pick-ups only
  • Requirements: When you will request a pick-up, a direct pick-up contract with PostNL BE must be shared, and Sendcloud will not be involved in this process.
  • Price: Invoicing for pick-ups will be done directly via PostNL BE and no longer via Sendcloud
  • Plan: Paid subscription required

DHL

  • Type: Incidental and Recurring
  • Requirements:
    • for incidental pick-ups:
      • To be requested min. 24 hours upfront
      • Timeframe pick-up: 09:00 - 18:00h
      • A minimum of 5 parcels per pick-up is required (a surcharge applies for fewer parcels)
        Note: The 5 parcels per pick-up requirement is based on an average. The total number of parcels picked up in a month divided by the number of pick-ups should be higher than 5 to avoid a surcharge.
    • for recurring pick-ups:
      • Min. 100 packages/month + 5 per pick-up
      • For 300 packages or more, it will be possible to request a fixed pick-up time
  • Price: Free (included with paid subscription)
    Note: Shipping method price differs. DHLFY Pick-up is more expensive than DHLFY Drop-off. The price varies based on the chosen shipping method (DHLFY pick-up required).
  • Plan: Paid subscription required

    • Recurring pick-ups: Through the panel, by following the steps of our article, it can take up to 10 business days for DHL to process it.

DPD

  • Type: Recurring pick-ups only
  • Requirements: Minimum of 100 packages per month.
    • For 100-300 packages per month: The pick-up timeframe is 09:00 - 17:00h.
    • For 300 packages or more per month: A fixed pick-up time can be requested, with a 2-hour window agreed upon between you and DPD.
  • Price: Free (included with paid subscription)
  • Plan: Paid subscription required

FedEx

  • Type: Recurring and incidental 
  • Requirements: No minimum amount of parcels. To be scheduled for the same day or the next business day.
  • Plan: Paid subscription required
  • Price: No costs per pick-up

UPS

  • Type: Recurring and incidental
  • Requirements: Minimum 1 parcel
  • Scheduling Options:
    • Same-day, next-day, and weekly pick-ups are available
      (Same Day Pick-ups: Only available for UPS Express Saver.)
  • Price (per pick-up):
    • Same-day (incidental) €5.37
    • Future day (incidental) €2.89
    • Weekly (recurring) €10.51
  • Plan: Paid subscription required

DHL Express

  • Type: Incidental pick-ups only
  • Requirements: the pick-up will occur the following business day between 08:00 and 18:00. No minimum amount of parcels.
