UPS Paperless Invoice
UPS Paperless Invoice allows for customs documentation to be sent electronically to UPS, preventing the need to physically print and attach multiple copies of required documentation when shipping internationally. Your customs documents will automatically be forwarded to UPS when you print your shipping label via Sendcloud.
Attention: Volumetric Weight
UPS calculates the real weight and volumetric weight of your shipment. To choose the right shipping method you need to take the following calculations in consideration:
- Volume weight in kg: LxWxH/5000
- Exact weight in kg
- Girth in cm: L+W+W+H+H
Important to know; UPS always charges per the highest weight. Make sure you round up your normal weight or volumetric weight of your shipping so you always choose the right shipping method.
UPS works with scaled shipping methods. When creating the label, make sure that you enter the highest value (volume weight or weight) under 'weight' so that you select the correct scale and you do not have to pay at a later time (you will then receive a surcharge).

Claim procedure
UPS only provides a compensation based on the weight of the package that cannot exceed a fixed threshold. This maximum amount varies depending on the country:
Germany

Maximum compensation: 60 GDPTo prevent these problems, we recommend you to insure your shipments using the Sendcloud Insurance. For example; with this insurance you can insure packages for a value of 100 euros for 45 cents. The claims will be handled quickly and this process is independent of the carriers. Make sure to always report damage via a ticket, within 7 days after delivery.
