Short answer: If your email is already linked to a Sendcloud account, you’ll need to change the email on your old account before you can accept the new invitation. Don’t delete the old account, this doesn’t free up the email right away.
Explanation: When you’re invited as a sub-user, but the email address is already registered with another Sendcloud account, the invitation email won’t include a registration link. Instead, you’ll see the message;
You are already registered.
To use your email address for the new invitation, you first need to update the login email on your old account. Once that’s done, your original email becomes available again, and you can accept the invitation without issues.
How to free up your email
-
Open the invitation email. Here’s what it looks like:
- Log in to your existing account. If you don’t remember your password, click Forgot password in the email and reset it.
-
Change your email in your account. Go to Settings > Account, then:
- Add a new email address to your account and be sure to verify it.
- Set the new email as your primary address.
- Remove your old email address and your email is immediately free to use. - Request a new invitation. Ask the account owner to resend the invitation to your original email address.
- Accept the invitation. Open the new invitation email and complete the registration process.
✅ You’re all set! You can now access the new account or sub-user invitation with your original email address.
