Purpose: Learn how to customize the configuration of your picking list settings within Pack & Go.
Customize your picking list settings
Each company has different processes and needs. Sendcloud allows you to customize the picking lists so that you see the items you consider necessary.
You can change your picking list settings from Shipping > Printing options. Select the printer you want to dedicate to printing your picking lists and configure other settings.
Picking list configuration
Choose what you want to see in your picking lists.
- Show both summary and list of orders
- Show item summary page only
- Show list of orders only
Sort products by
Choose how to sort the item summary, and the products within each order in the list of orders.
- Name
- SKU
- EAN
- Location: This is the location of the products in your warehouse. Open the Products page to add this information to your products.
Sort orders by
- Chronological: The order you have selected for your Incoming orders when you print the labels, from oldest to newest or newest to oldest.
- Order ID: Alphanumerical and ascending (e.g. ORD22 comes before ORD123 in the list)
- Product sorting: It will match the sorting you have selected for the item summary in the previous section. This way, it will be faster to find the item that needs to be packed in each order of the picking list. If there are multiple items in an order, the first item will be considered, if that one still matches, the system will consider the second item, and so forth. Example: An order with items A,B,C,E will be displayed before an order with items A,B,D,E or A,B,E. This will be particularly helpful when you have multiple orders that have the same product (e.g. You have a total of 20 products to sort at the packing station and thanks to product sorting it will be easier to find the corresponding products to the first order).
Customization
- Products: You can display up to 3 elements (SKU, EAN, images or location in the warehouse) next to the product. Open the Products page to add this information to your products.
- Visual highlight: You can highlight quantities above 1 (E.g. a client orders the same product twice).
- Communication: You can choose to show customer notes and comments in the picking lists if your online store integration allows it.
You can review and perfect your picking list to make sure everything is just right before finalizing it by clicking the button Preview your picking list.
Item images
Knowing how an item looks like helps pickers when picking the items of an order. Item images are active by default, which means that they will appear in your Pack & Go interface and in your printed picking lists. If you want to disable them, follow these instructions to hide item images:
In Pack & Go
- In your Sendcloud panel, go to Shipping > Pack & Go
- Under Hide, check the case Item image if you don't want images to appear in your Pack & Go screen when processing orders
If you don't hide item images, you will see the following on your screen when processing orders via Pack & Go:
In your picking list settings
- In your Sendcloud panel, go to Shipping > Printing options
- Under "Show", check the case Item image if you don't want images to appear in your picking lists
- Click Update settings to save the changes
If you don't hide item images, when you print your picking list you will see a document similar to the one in the example below:
