Topic: View which hazardous substances are allowed or prohibited by carrier Colis Privé
All dangerous goods subject to the ADR agreement are forbidden on the Colis Privé transport network and premises.
As an exception, goods which fall under the framework of the TDG order on limited and exempted qualities are accepted, namely:
- Operations in quantities below the transport limits, e.g.:
- Transport < 333 kg for acetone
- Transport < 20 litres for phenyl mercaptan
Each dangerous good has a corresponding transport category (0, 1, 2, 3, 4), which makes it possible to know the maximum quantity that can be transported per transport unit (vehicle), while being partially exempted from the ADR.
- Goods packed in limited quantities. e.g.,:
- For acetone, inner packaging with a maximum content of 3 litres in a package with a content of 12 litres.
Dangerous goods may be subject to exemptions due to their packaging in limited quantities (LQ). For this, dangerous goods must be exclusively packed in combined packaging (inner packaging places in appropriate outer packaging). In addition to this, each inner package, as well as each outer package/s, must respect the minimum material quantities as stated by the ADR.
Some classes of hazardous materials remain prohibited or are allowed by exception:
