Purpose: In this article, we explain the surcharges for CTT Express.

Please note: The carrier may change the shipping prices and/or surcharges mentioned below, therefore these prices may be subject to change. Even though we aim to inform you to the best of our abilities, no rights can be derived from the information provided below.

National

Excess weight

If your parcel exceeds the maximum weight, a surcharge will apply. If your parcel is over the 40 kg but below 70 kg, the surcharge is EUR 12.00.

If your parcel is over 70 kg, an additional fee of EUR 0.50 per kg will be charged; this goes up to 300 kg.

Excess size

If your parcel exceeds the maximum dimensions, a surcharge will apply. If the sum of your parcel (L + W + H) is over the 240 cm but below 300 cm, the surcharge is EUR 10.00.

If the sum of your parcel exceeds the 300 cm, an additional fee of EUR 5.00 per extra 10 cm will be charged.

Excess on one side

An additional fee of EUR 4.00 will be applied when any of the measurements exceed 150 cm to 200 cm
An additional fee of EUR 8.00 will be applied when any of the measurements exceed 200 cm to 400 cm
An additional fee of EUR 5.00 for every 10 cm will be applied when any of the measurements exceed 400 cm

Surcharge for urgent shipments

For delivery services before 10 AM or Saturday before 2 PM, an extra fee of EUR 1.06 will be charged.

Validating ID number (DNI)

If you want to request a POD with the ID number, there's a fee of EUR 1.43.

Assistant/Messenger

This service has a minimum requirement of 1 hour. If you decide to use this service, you'll have to request it via CTT Express directly. You can be invoiced an additional surcharge from expenses generated at Sendcloud. The price is EUR 32.80.

Fourth delivery attempt

There are 3 delivery attempts included. If there's a fourth one needed a surcharge of EUR 3.50 will be applied.

Van services (not included with Sendcloud)

If you have any special requests for pallet delivery, you can contact CTT Express directly. The costs for these services are:

Delivery to address via van: 500 kg EUR 13.51 / 1500 kg EUR 20.26
Costs per kilometer made via van: 500 kg EUR 1.06 / 1500 kg EUR 1.22
Minimum fee charged per van service: 500 kg EUR 33.26 / EUR 66.53

Failed collections in Spain or Portugal

For each failed collection, a surcharge of €1.38 will be applied in Spain and €2.60 in Portugal.

Handling at destination

If the driver has to wait at the destination or origin location, a fee of EUR 10.89 will be charged. There's a maximum of 10 minutes.

Multicollo

Shipments to the same address that exceed 5 packages will be charged a surcharge of EUR 1.00 per piece from the 6th package onwards.

International

Proof of Delivery (POD)

If you request a POD, you'll receive a surcharge of EUR 6.71.

RWA additional fee

When the address of the shipment is incorrect, manual work from CTT Express is required. This leads to an extra fee of EUR 13.45.

Remote areas

When you ship to a remote area, a surcharge of EUR 16.13 will be taken into account.

Priority

If you place a priority sticker on your parcel a fee of EUR 22.40 will be charged.

Returned (undelivered)

A shipment that is being returned to you, because it couldn't be delivered will be charged the same amount as the outbound price.

Export processing

Parcels shipped to a destination outside of the EU receive a surcharge of EUR 11.20.

Import to the Canary Islands (SAD)

Any goods that enter the Canary Islands are subject to customs import procedures.

If the value of the goods in your shipment exceeds EUR 150.25, an extra fee of EUR 26.31 will be applied.
If the value of the goods in your shipment is less than 150.00 euros, an additional fee of 13.99 euros will be applied.

Handling fee

A surcharge of EUR 28.00 will apply when:

The real weight is above 30 kg
Any of the measurements exceed L 120 cm x W 120 cm x H 150 cm

Non-conveyable

An additional surcharge of EUR 11.20 will apply when the real weight is below 30 kg but any of the measurements exceed L 240 cm x W 120 cm x H 180 cm

Non-stackable

An additional fee of EUR 33.60 applies to any shipment that contains at least one non-stackable item. Non-stackable means that an item, parcel, or pallet cannot be placed on top of another. (Note: this surcharge does not offer any guarantees from CTT Express)
