To start shipping you must first have a GLS carrier contract and connect it to your Sendcloud account. 

GLS Parcel

With GLS Parcel you can send both B2B and B2C parcel shipments nationally and internationally. Depending on the destination of your package, you have a choice from the following products:

• GLS BusinessParcel
• GLS EconomyParcel 
• GLS ExpressParcel
• GLS ShopDeliveryParcel 
• GLS EuroBusinessParcel 

GLS BusinessParcel 

This is GLS reliable basic product for national parcel shipments. Transport parcels weighing up to 40kg securely and rapidly within Spain. 

Shipping method features:

• Reliable and fast transport of parcels up to 40 kg
• Delivery within mainland Spain
• Standard delivery time of less than 24 hours applies throughout the whole of mainland Spain
• Real time Tracking
• Digital recipient's signature available online 
• Second delivery attempt included
• For private customers, delivery to a GLS ParcelShop will take place if delivery is not successful 

Characteristics of the parcel: 

• Maximum weight: 40kg
• Maximum dimensions:
  • Length 200 cm
  • Width 80 cm
  • Height 60 cm
• Maximum belt circumference: The belt circumference (1x length + 2x width + 2x height) of a package may not exceed 300 cm.

GLS BusinessParcel can be combined with the following additional services:

GLS EconomyParcel

Economical shipping option for national parcel shipments.

Shipping method features:

• Delivery within mainland Spain
• Standard delivery time from 48 to 72 hours
• Real time Tracking
• Digital recipient's signature available online 

Characteristics of the parcel: 

• Maximum weight: 40kg
• Maximum dimensions:
  • Length 200 cm
  • Width 80 cm
  • Height 60 cm
• Maximum belt circumference: The belt circumference (1x length + 2x width + 2x height) of a package may not exceed 300 cm.

GLS ExpressParcel

Reliable express delivery within Spain. Parcels are delivered before close of business the next working day at the latest, with Saturday delivery services optional. 

Shipping method features:

• Fast delivery within mainland Spain for urgent consignments, such as documents and spare parts 
• Delivered at the latest the next working day before close of business
• SaturdayService optional
• If you opt for the FlexDelivery additional service, you can choose to have the parcel delivered before 8:30am, 10:00am or 14:00am on the next working day 
• Real time Tracking
• Digital recipient's signature available online

GLS EuroBusinessParcel

With this service you can have your parcels delivered throughout Europe. Goods will arrive in all major European markets in standard delivery times of 24 to 48 hours. For more distant European countries, delivery usually takes place within 72 to 96 hours. 

Shipping method features:

• Parcel delivery throughout Europe up to 40 kg
• Standard turnaround time for surrounding countries is 24-48 hours; more distant regions have a turnaround time between 72-96 hours
• Real time Tracking
• Digital recipient's signature available online 
• Second delivery attempt included
• For private customers, delivery to a GLS ParcelShop will take place if delivery is not successful

• Maximum weight: 40kg
• Maximum dimensions:
  • Length 200 cm
  • Width 80 cm

• Maximum belt circumference: The belt circumference (1x length + 2x width + 2x height) of a package may not exceed 300 cm.

GLS EuroBusinessParcel can be combined with the following additional services:

• GLS EuroBusinessSmallParcel [for parcels sized 0-3kg where the dimensions do not exceed 40cm (L) x 25cm (W) x 10cm (H) ]

Additional services by GLS

Delivery to a ParcelShop: 

• ShopDeliveryService | Parcels will be delivered directly to a GLS ParcelShop of the recipient's choice, based on their selection at the service point picker widget on checkout from one of more than 1,900 GLs ParcelShops in Spain. Recipient is notified by text or email when the parcel is ready for collection. 

Parcel services:

• FlexDeliveryService | GLS offers the recipient the opportunity to influence the date, time and/or location of the delivery, even before the first delivery attempt. This service is also available for many countries in Europe.

• CashService | For the option to offer cash on delivery services to your customers. 
• SaturdayService | If the recipient is not at home during the week, delivery on Saturday is possible. 

• ShopReturnService | With this convenient return service, the recipient can decide when they want to return the parcel, by offering it to one of more than 1,900 GLS ParcelShops within Spain. 

• InternationalShopReturnService | This is the international version of the Shop Return Service. The recipient can decide when they want to return the parcel, by offering it to one of the GLS ParcelShops outside of Spain. 
• ExchangeService | With ExchangeService, GLS delivers and picks up shipments simultaneously and transports them to the customer’s address, or to the address previously indicated by the sender. The outbound label will be created via Sendcloud but the inbound label needs to be created in your GLS panel

Direct contract shipping methods

FAQs

My address is longer than 40 characters, but only 40 are shown on the label. Will I have an issue?

GLS Spain has a 40-character limitation on the label, but an 80-character allowance on their system. At Sendcloud we will send the maximum allowance to their system 80. Drivers execute their deliveries based on what appears on their system and not the label. 

Like every carrier, GLS has prepared a document about their General Transport Conditions. If you deviate from the conditions, a surcharge will be charged on your invoice afterwards. When you send with GLS, you automatically agree to the following conditions:
