Purpose: Learn how to connect your own GLS Italy carrier contract with your Sendcloud account in three easy steps.
You must have a contract with GLS Italy in order to ship with GLS via Sendcloud. Contact GLS Italy if you want to activate your own contract.
Step 1: Activate your Sendcloud subscription
Sendcloud offers three subscriptions with which you are able to use your own transport contract: Lite, Growth and the Premium plan.
For more information regarding which plan is best for you and the needs of your business, you can always contact us via the support section of your Sendcloud account or click here.
Step 2: Connect your GLS contract
Once you have activated a Sendcloud subscription, you can connect your carrier contract.
In your Sendcloud panel navigate to Settings > Carriers > My contracts > Click Add your own contract and then find GLS Italy. Then click Add contract. Here you can add the credentials needed to validate the connection to GLS. See Step 3 for further instructions.
Step 3: Enter your GLS account details
To find your GLS details, log in your GLS account and go to General Information (Informazioni generali). See screenshot below.
Go back to your Sendcloud account (Step 2) and fill in the form. Do not forget to click "Save" when you are done.
- Contract name (optional): You may choose a name for your GLS Italy contract in Sendcloud, like "My GLS Italy contract", for example.
- Customer code: codice cliente
- Password
- Confirmation time (optional): Select the time that works best for you from the available time slots. Every day, in the selected time slot, all GLS Italy labels that have not yet been validated will be automatically validated.
- Contract code: codice contratto
- Depot code: sigla sede
Done! Once you've followed the steps above, your GLS contract should now be successfully linked to your Sendcloud platform and you can begin shipping on your GLS rates. When you create a label with a GLS shipping method, the label price will now show as 0.00 EUR in your account.
