Purpose: Learn how to avoid unwanted DPD surcharges if your shipment does not fulfil the conditions of the carrier.

The following surcharges may be applied to your next invoice if your shipments vary from PostAT's shipping terms.

If there's a note in the address field of your package that states "Personal", your package will only be handed over to the designated recipient. The identity of the recipient is verified on the basis of a valid photo ID. |

Rerouting - If the sender orders rerouting as long as the shipment is still in the postal transport pipeline, the shipment will not be sent to the original recipient address as ordered but to the new desired address - if possible and if the shipment is not already delivered to the original recipient. The order rerouting has to be sent to the service center by e-mail. If you want to reroute a parcel, you can reach out to Sendcloud via the support section in your account. The request will then be forwarded to the carrier. The request has to contain the rerouting order, the shipment number concerned, a brief reason for the rerouting as well as the new complete Austrian recipient address. If the rerouting can be carried out successfully, the original fee and the fee for rerouting will be charged |

| Address clarification 2C - Parcels addressed to 2C recipients (“private customers”) are not immediately returned in case of an unclear address or an unknown recipient, but are first deposited at the corresponding post office and kept for pickup for five working days (except Saturday). The sender/shipper is informed of the address problem by Post and receives a pickup code with which the recipient can pick up the deposited shipment at the post office during the defined period. If no information is provided or the shipment is not picked up during the defined period, the shipment is returned to the sender. |

| Delivery with signature only - The sender specifies that the item will be handed over only against a proof of delivery by signature (and actually signed in front of a Post employee). Post will hand over these items to the recipient or to a person in accordance with the provisions for substitute delivery only against the provision of a signature. For items with this additional service, there is no deposit/filing in an automated drop-off facility of the Post, no drop-off and no interaction is allowed by the recipient. |

Fuel surcharge
Due to the continuous increase of the fuel prices, Sendcloud is forced to introduce the fuel surcharge for Post AT. During the second half of 2021, we've taken the loss due to the increasing fuel prices on us. This was with the assumption that prices would eventually go down/normalize again. Considering the current political situation and the economical climate, we don't expect this'll happen any time soon. Because of this we've introduced a temporary fuel surcharge.
How do we calculate this surcharge?
Per 1% over the 9% fuel surcharge an amount of 0.04 EUR/parcel will be charged.
Example: If the Post AT fuel surcharge is 22.5%, then a surcharge of 0.54 EUR (13.5 x 0.04 EUR) will apply.
