Short answer: Sending packages to a military address can be complex. Before processing an order, make sure you check the current regulations set by the relevant army, the list of prohibited items and other relevant guidelines, including the proper format to enter a military address. Keep in mind that regulations vary from country to country.
We only recommend creating the label with Sendcloud if your shipping address is located in the same country as the delivery address.
Explanation:
In general, you will have to ship the package to a specific address located in the country of the army, even if the service member (receiver) is deployed in a different country. From there, either the army or the carrier that has an agreement with the army (often national postal carriers) will dispatch the package to the destination military bases, which may be located all over the world.
Often, even if the service member is stationed overseas, the correct format for entering a military address does not include the final destination city or country. This is for security reasons. Instead, they will use specific Army Post Office codes like APO or NAPO numbers.
We only recommend shipping to a military location using Sendcloud if the address is located in the same country that you are shipping from.
- French military personnel: If you are shipping from France, you can use Colissimo Hub Armée. Read more in our article Ship parcels to the French Army: Colissimo Hub Armée.
- Dutch military personnel: If you are shipping from the Netherlands, can ship with PostNL and you will only pay the shipping costs to Utrecht. From there, the Military Mail Organization will take care of delivering the package to its final destination. Don't forget to include the NAPO number and fill in the CN22 form. You can check a detailed explanation, as well as the conditions in the official website of the Ministry of Defense of the Netherlands.

United States military personnel: Sendcloud doesn't support APO and FPO numbers in the format of the delivery address. We recommend that you create the label outside Sendcloud. You can check the United States Postal Service (USPS) official website and their FAQ page for more information on military and diplomatic mail.
