Service points offer customers an enhanced experience as they can select the location to which they want their shipments sent.
Before enabling delivery to service points, make sure your online store is connected to Sendcloud. Find out how to easily connect your store to Sendcloud .
How does the service point selector work?
Once your store is connected to Sendcloud, the map with the service points will be displayed during the checkout process. You no longer need to download carrier extensions, Sendcloud does it for you.
To set up this shipping method:
- You have a new shipping method in the management area, automatically created by our API, called ' Delivery at service point '.
- You need to create a shipping method called ' Delivery to Service Point ' in the administration.
When your customer selects the ' Delivery to service point ' method, your e-shop will know that the map with the service points should be displayed, as our system recognizes the name of the shipping method.
When an order is placed, it will be imported into ' Incoming Orders ' with the service point chosen by the customer.
If you need more information on how to set up delivery to service points in your e-store system, please see the ' Add service points ' section of our help center.
The map with service points is not displayed on my website. Why?
Check your settings
- Finish setting up your Sendcloud account:
- Please verify your email address.
- Add your billing, return and shipping addresses.
- Activate your Direct Debit.
- Check that you have activated the carriers:
- Activate them in Shipping > Carriers
- Add your own carrier contract (if applicable).
- Check your connected store's connection:
- Go to Settings > Integrations and check if Service Points and at least one carrier are enabled for this shipping method.
Common reasons why the service point map does not appear during the checkout process:
- Your store is not visible.
- The theme you are using does not support the button to select a service point.
- You are using an app/extension/plugin (in the checkout process) that is not compatible with Sendcloud
For example, carrier extensions may also offer maps, which when combined with Sendcloud may result in none being displayed.
- You have added additional scripts during the purchase process in the management area of your online store.
- The Delivery to Service Point shipping method has not been created for all shipping zones in the management area of your e-store.
- Your store's connection to Sendcloud is broken. For more information, in your SendCloud account, go to Settings > Integrations > Failed to request logs
- Your browser is out of date. Please try a different one or install the latest version.
We invite you to make the necessary adjustments in your management area so that the map is displayed.
