What is Evri dropoff?
Evri dropoff is a separate network within Evri. They specialize in businesses that don't ship very high volumes (yet). With the regular Evri network you can only ship parcels via a collection service. This means that you can only use this service when you ship high volumes. Evri dropoff offers the option to hand in parcels at a local ParcelShop or locker. This makes it a convenient carrier for webshops with smaller volumes.
Delivery timeframe: Please note that our historical data of the carrier performance shows that average delivery timeframes of Evri are 2–4 days for mainland UK deliveries. Please keep this in mind when shipping your parcels, and especially during peak season and holidays.

Print in store
For Evri dropoff ParcelShop to Address service, you have the flexibility to opt for the ”Print in Store” option. In cases where printing at home isn’t available, you can download a QR code, which can be presented at the parcel shop. Upon scanning, the label will be printed, ensuring smooth and hassle-free shipping without the need for a home printer.
Address to Address
This method offers home address delivery, whereby the parcel gets picked up from your sender's address. When you create a parcel with the Address to Address method (before 2 PM) Evri will automatically show up at your sender address the next day to pick-up the parcel.

Pick-ups
Pick-ups are automatically scheduled. See below for specifications:
- Next day pick-up when the label is created before 2 PM; otherwise the day after
- Pick-up range between 8 AM-8 PM
- Pick-up days are Monday - Saturday

Important: Labels that trigger a pick-up request upon creation (such as Evri dropoff Address to Address) cannot be cancelled directly by the user or Sendcloud Customer Support, as the pickup is automatically requested.
If a cancellation is required due to an error or change of plans, please contact Support. In such cases, we will either force-cancel the label (if technically possible) or issue a credit for the label costs as a goodwill gesture.
Postable Delivery to Mailbox
This method allows you to drop off your parcel at a nearby parcel shop or locker for delivery to your customer's home address via their mailbox. It's perfect for shipping smaller items such as books, board games, or stationery.

Return Shipping Methods (National)
With Sendcloud rates, you can offer two different kinds of return methods: with printed labels or with QR codes. The maximum weight for returns is 15 kg.
Return methods with QR code
- Evri dropoff ParcelShop to Address QR Returns: The client does not need to print the return label at home. They can print it at a ParcelShop using a Print in ParcelShop device with a QR code.
Return methods with printed label
- Evri dropoff Locker to Address Returns: The client needs to print the return label at home and take the parcel to one of the carrier’s 1500+ Locker locations.
- Evri dropoff Collection Return Standard Delivery: The client needs to print the return label at home. The courier will collect the parcel from their home.
- Evri dropoff ParcelShop to Address Returns: The client prints the return label at home and drops off the parcel at a ParcelShop.
Direct Contract Shipping
Evri dropoff also offers some additional “to ParcelShop” shipping methods. If you have a direct contract with the carrier, you can submit a request via your Evri contact. You will receive a manual form that must be completed. Once the form has been confirmed by Evri, the shipping methods can be activated within Sendcloud.

Compensation policy
Standard Liability
- Each parcel is covered for up to £20.00 for loss only.
- There is no coverage for damage.
- Shipping costs are not included in this liability and will not be refunded.
High-Value Parcels
- For parcels worth more than £20 or containing fragile items, we recommend adding Sendcloud Shipping Protection to cover both loss and damage.
- This applies to both business and Evri dropoff shipments.
Damaged Parcels
- Evri does not provide any compensation for parcels damaged during transit.
- Damaged items may be returned to the sender or disposed of.
- To be protected against damage, use Sendcloud Insurance at the time of label creation.
Lost Parcels
- Claims for lost parcels must be submitted within 27 days of label creation.
- Claims submitted later may be rejected, and no refund will be possible.
Delivered but not received
- If tracking shows the parcel as delivered (final scan, GPS location, or photo), a claim may still be possible only if the customer completes a signed Denial of Receipt (DOR).

Text DOR Process:
- Evri automatically sends a Text DOR via SMS, RCS, or email when a claim is submitted.
- If the message is read but the customer does not respond, the claim will be rejected.
- If the customer confirms non-receipt, the standard claims process continues.

Paper DOR Process:
- A physically signed Paper DOR is required.
- Typed or digital signatures are not accepted.
- Refusal to sign may be considered a fraud indicator and the claim may be denied.
Returns
- Evri’s default insurance does not cover return shipments, including unjust returns.
- To ensure returns are protected, we recommend enabling XCover Insurance in your Sendcloud account.
Shipping Restrictions, Prohibited Items & Dangerous Goods
Evri does not accept certain items for shipping, and some items are excluded from any compensation. For the complete and most up-to-date list of prohibited items, please click here.
Evri has also shared specific requirements for handling Dangerous Goods, hazardous substances, lithium batteries, and offensive weapons. The key points are summarised in the sections below.
Prohibited Items
Evri does not carry certain items to ensure the safety of customers, couriers, and the wider network.
The following items are strictly prohibited:
- Bladed articles (as defined in the Criminal Justice Act 1998)
- Corrosive substances (as defined in the Offensive Weapons Act 2019)
- Standalone lithium batteries (UN3090, UN3480)
Shipping any of the above items is not allowed under any circumstances.

Due Diligence Requirements
Evri requires all clients to follow due diligence steps to ensure safe and compliant shipping:
- Review your product catalogue using the provided due diligence checklist
- Confirm that none of the prohibited or restricted categories are being shipped
- Contact Sendcloud Support if you are unsure about an item
Products that fall into prohibited or restricted categories must not be sent via Evri.
Lithium Batteries
Evri only accepts lithium batteries when:
- They are contained in equipment, or
- Shipped with equipment
All accepted lithium battery shipments must meet SP188 provisions.
Evri may also request compliance evidence, such as:
- Drop-test certification
- Packaging standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Standalone lithium batteries (UN3090 and UN3480) are strictly prohibited.
Offensive Weapons
Evri does not currently provide a doorstep delivery service that meets the requirements of the Offensive Weapons Act.
This means that offensive weapons cannot be shipped with Evri.
Sending these items may put the shipper in breach of both UK law and their Evri contract.

Surcharge for re-labeling
- £0.64 per label
When does re-labeling apply?
- The original label is poor quality (patchy / lines running through the barcode field)
- The original label is covered with tape
- The original label is not attached to the flat side of a parcel / barcode line banded on the sides of a parcel
- The original delivery address needs amendment (including return to client)
- The original barcode is booked under the incorrect weight category
Surcharge for undeliverable parcel
- £1.70 per parcel
Surcharge for over-weight shipments
- £7.00 per parcel
Surcharge for shipments within weight range but heavier than declared
- You will be charged the difference in commercial rate plus a flat surcharge of £1.28.
For example: You prepare a shipping label for a parcel weighing 1 kg. The actual weight of the parcel is 3 kg. You will be charged for the difference in commercial rate between a 1 kg and a 3 kg parcel, plus £1.28.
Surcharge for shipments outside of maximum allowed dimensions
- A charge will be applied based on the commercial rate for the actual parcel dimensions.
Surcharge for signature for selected parcels
- £0.60 per parcel
Isle of Skye
Special Delivery Process for the Isle of Skye: For deliveries to the Isle of Skye, all parcels are automatically diverted to a ParcelShop near the customer’s address. Parcels are delivered to these ParcelShops twice weekly and securely stored for up to 10 days. Customers will receive two email notifications: one when the parcel arrives at the local depot, and another when it is ready for collection at the ParcelShop.
If customers need to return parcels, they can use the same ParcelShop location or any of the other ParcelShop locations on the island. Below is a list of accessible ParcelShops on the Isle of Skye:

Tracking page branding
When shipping with Evri through Sendcloud, the branding shown on the tracking page and in Evri notification emails depends on the Evri service used.

Evri (UK)
In specific cases, custom branding may be available for the Evri tracking page and Evri emails.
This setup is not enabled by default and requires a manual configuration on the Evri side.
If enabled for your account, your own brand name and branding can be shown instead of Sendcloud on the Evri tracking page and notifications.

Evri dropoff
Custom tracking page or email branding is not supported for Evri dropoff.
The sender name, subject line, and branding (e.g. “Your parcel from Sendcloud”) cannot be changed.
This is due to a technical limitation on the carrier side.
