It is not possible to drop off your Evri parcels at a parcel shop. If you take your parcels to either location for delivery, you will be turned away.
You must use Evri dropoff unless you have a pre-arranged pickup with us. Please contact our support team or your sales representative to see if you are eligible for a collection schedule, and allow up to 2 weeks in advance for setup.
Delivery timeframe
Based on historical carrier performance, Evri deliveries within mainland UK typically take 2–4 days. Delays may occur during peak season and holidays.
Pickup information
Pickup times are not guaranteed by the carrier and are arranged via a third party. No compensation is offered for failed pickups. For urgent issues, please contact support via live channels.

Evri Light & Large
Service Presentation
This service ensures that parcels exceeding the dimensions and weight limits of standard shipping are handled appropriately, preventing returns and delays.
- The "Light and Large Parcel" service is designed for parcels that weigh more than 15 kg but less than 30 kg, and/or have dimensions that exceed standard limits.
- It is suitable for parcels with a single dimension exceeding 1.20 m and for those with combined dimensions exceeding 2.25 m (calculated as the largest dimension plus two times each of the other dimensions).
- The parcel should not exceed a maximum length of 1.8 m, a maximum girth of 2.4 m, or a maximum combined length and girth of 4.2 m.
Shipping method features:
- Domestic Service: This service is available only within the UK.
- Booking Requirements: You must input the parcel dimensions correctly for the service to be booked accurately.
- Avoid Delays: Use the Light & Large service if regular parcel dimensions (for Evri Standard & Next Day labels) are exceeded to avoid parcels being returned to the sender or experiencing shipping delays.

Isle of Skye
Special Delivery Process for the Isle of Skye: For deliveries to the Isle of Skye, all parcels are automatically diverted to a ParcelShop near the customer’s address. Parcels are delivered to these ParcelShops twice weekly and securely stored for up to 10 days. Customers will receive two email notifications: one when the parcel arrives at the local depot, and another when it is ready for collection at the ParcelShop.
If customers need to return parcels, they can use the same ParcelShop location or any of the other ParcelShop locations on the island. Below is a list of accessible ParcelShops on the Isle of Skye:

Shipping to the US
Once EVRi receives a parcel addressed to the United States, while the parcel is still in the UK, EVRi will contact the recipient in the United States to collect duties and taxes upfront. Once paid, the shipment will be upgraded to DDP, ensuring smooth delivery.

Returns
Sendcloud does not currently support Evri return shipping methods. To make a return, please use Evri dropoff.
Insurance
Standard Liability
Standard Liability:
- All Evri shipments include basic coverage of up to £20 for loss only.
This coverage does not include damage, and shipping costs will not be refunded.
High-Value Parcels
High-Value Parcels:
- For parcels worth more than £20 or containing fragile items, we strongly recommend adding Sendcloud Shipping Protection for full coverage against both loss and damage.
Damaged Parcels
Damaged Parcels:
- Evri does not accept damage claims under their standard insurance.
- If a parcel is severely damaged in transit, Evri may return or dispose of it, but no compensation will be provided.
Lost Parcels
Lost Parcels:
- Claims for lost parcels must be submitted within 27 calendar days of the label creation date to allow time for processing.
- Claims submitted on or after the 28th day will be automatically rejected by Evri.
Delivered but not received
Delivered but not received:
- If tracking shows the parcel as delivered (with a final scan, GPS location, or photo), a claim may still be possible, but only if your customer completes a signed Denial of Receipt (DOR) form.

Text DOR Process:
Evri will automatically send a Text DOR to the recipient when a claim is submitted.
This message is sent via SMS, RCS, or email and includes read receipts and response tracking.- If the customer reads the message but does not respond or confirm receipt, the claim will be rejected.
- If the customer responds to confirm non-receipt, the standard claims process continues.

Paper DOR Process:
A physically signed Paper DOR is still required for all Delivery Disputes.
Typed or digital signatures are not accepted.
If the customer refuses to sign, this will be considered a strong fraud indicator, and the claim may be denied.
Returns
Returns:
- Evri’s default insurance does not cover return shipments (including unjust returns).
- For return coverage, consider enabling XCover insurance through Sendcloud.
Shipping Restrictions, Prohibited Items & Dangerous Goods
Evri does not accept certain items for shipping, and some items are excluded from any compensation. For the complete and most up-to-date list of prohibited items, please click here.
Evri has also shared specific requirements for handling Dangerous Goods, hazardous substances, lithium batteries, and offensive weapons. The key points are summarised in the sections below.
Prohibited Items
Evri does not carry certain items to ensure the safety of customers, couriers, and the wider network.
The following items are strictly prohibited:
- Bladed articles (as defined in the Criminal Justice Act 1998)
- Corrosive substances (as defined in the Offensive Weapons Act 2019)
- Standalone lithium batteries (UN3090, UN3480)
Shipping any of the above items is not allowed under any circumstances.

Due Diligence Requirements
Evri requires all clients to follow due diligence steps to ensure safe and compliant shipping:
- Review your product catalogue using the provided due diligence checklist
- Confirm that none of the prohibited or restricted categories are being shipped
- Contact Sendcloud support if you are unsure about an item
Products that fall into prohibited or restricted categories must not be sent via Evri.
Dangerous Goods (DG) & Hazardous Substances
Dangerous Goods may only be shipped when they fully comply with ADR Limited Quantity (LQ) regulations.
To meet Evri’s requirements, all DG shipments must:
- Comply with ADR Limited Quantity (LQ) standards
- Display clear and visible LQ labelling on the outer packaging
- Be packed in robust 2-ply fibreboard boxes
- Not be packed in jiffy bags
- Be packaged securely to prevent damage or leaks
Items that do not meet these rules may be rejected, delayed, or returned.
Lithium Batteries
Evri only accepts lithium batteries when:
- They are contained in equipment, or
- Shipped with equipment
All accepted lithium battery shipments must meet SP188 provisions.
Evri may also request compliance evidence, such as:
- Drop-test certification
- Packaging standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Standalone lithium batteries (UN3090 and UN3480) are strictly prohibited.
Offensive Weapons
Evri does not currently provide a doorstep delivery service that meets the requirements of the Offensive Weapons Act.
This means that offensive weapons cannot be shipped with Evri.
Sending these items may put the shipper in breach of both UK law and their Evri contract.

Tracking page branding
When shipping with Evri through Sendcloud, the branding shown on the tracking page and in Evri notification emails depends on the Evri service used.

Evri (UK)
In specific cases, custom branding may be available for the Evri tracking page and Evri emails.
This setup is not enabled by default and requires a manual configuration on the Evri side.
If enabled for your account, your own brand name and branding can be shown instead of Sendcloud on the Evri tracking page and notifications.
If you are using Evri (UK) and would like to check whether custom tracking or email branding is possible for your account, please contact Sendcloud Support.
Evri dropoff
Custom tracking page or email branding is not supported for Evri dropoff.
The sender name, subject line, and branding (e.g. “Your parcel from Sendcloud”) cannot be changed.
This is due to a technical limitation on the carrier side.
Evri has prepared a document about the General Transport Conditions. If you waive the terms, then an additional charge will be charged on your invoice. When you start shipping with Evri, you automatically agree to the following terms:
