Purpose: Learn how to deactivate or delete a carrier contract from your Sendcloud account.
Considerations before deactivating or deleting a contract
- You can only add, activate, deactivate or delete your own carrier contracts if you have a paid subscription. Check our plans on our website. You can update your subscription directly from your Sendcloud panel.
- Deactivating or deleting a contract does not deactivate the carrier from your Sendcloud account. This means that the main user or any sub-users will still be able to ship parcels using that carrier with other active contracts (if you had more than one) or with the Sendcloud rates.
- If you deactivate or delete your only active contract with a specific carrier, all shipping methods that are only available if you have your own contract will be disabled from your Sendcloud account. To re-enable them, first add or reactivate a carrier contract, and then manually re-enable the shipping methods on the Shipping prices page.
How to deactivate a contract
Follow the next steps to deactivate a shipping contract:
- In your Sendcloud account, go to Shipping > Carriers.
- Click on the My Contracts tab.
- Find the shipping contract that you want to deactivate in the list.
- Under the column Active, click the toggle to deactivate it.
- If it's your only active contract for that carrier, a pop-up notification will appear to inform you that if you deactivate it all new shipments will be shipped at Sendcloud rates. You can choose either to cancel or proceed. If you have multiple active contracts with that carrier, you can still use them to ship your parcels, or ship at Sendcloud rates.
- If you want to continue, click Deactivate.
- A second pop-up message will appear. Click OK to confirm your choice.
Your contract is now deactivated. You will receive a confirmation email.
How can I reactivate it?
To reactivate the contract, simply click the toggle button again.
