Purpose: In this article, we explain the surcharges that Evri UK may apply if you do not follow their shipping requirements.
Surcharge for relabeling
£0.85 per label
See here when the relabeling applies
- The original label is poor quality (patchy / lines running through the barcode field)
- The Original label is covered with tape
- The Original label is not attached to the flat side of a parcel/barcode line banded on the sides of a parcel
- The original delivery address needs amendment (including return to client)
- The Original barcode is booked under the incorrect weight category
- Barcode booked for standard parcel delivery but measured to be Evri Light & Large and needs re-allocating to Evri Light & Large service

Surcharge for re-package
If the packaging of a parcel is deemed unfit for international transportation by Evri, we may re-package it to ensure the contents are secure for transit. An additional surcharge of £1.70 will apply for this service. For more details on how to package your parcel for international shipping, please refer to the packaging guidelines.

Surcharge for over-weight shipments
£6.70 per parcel
Surcharge for shipments within weight range but heavier than declared
You will be charged the difference in commercial rate plus a flat surcharge of £0.95.
For example: You prepare a shipping label for a parcel weighing 1 kg. The actual weight of the parcel is 3 kg. You will be charged for the difference in commercial rate between a 1kg and a 3kg parcel, plus £0.60.
Surcharge Outside of maximum allowed dimensions
£6.70 per parcel
Surcharge Large & Light undeliverable parcel
If you send a Large & Light parcel and this is returned because it couldn’t be delivered the rate is £7.45.
Surcharge Signature for selected parcels
£0.35 per parcel
Surcharge Household address only
Delivering your parcel exclusively to the household address stated on the shipping label will cost £0.70 per parcel

Surcharge Customer comms
When Evri UK reaches out via SMS/push notification, you will receive a fee of £0.23.
Surcharge Bank holiday: Deliveries
A surcharge of £120.20 applies to all collections/deliver-ins carried out on a Bank Holiday.
Surcharge Bank holiday: Deliveries
A surcharge of £0.60 per Parcel also applies to all Bank Holiday Outward Deliveries.
Surcharge Clean Air Zone
To cover the increased cost of providing new low/zero emission final mile delivery solutions, a surcharge of £0.65 applies.
Not pre-advise a Parcel
In the event the Client does not pre-advise a Parcel that it has presented to Evri for Delivery then Evri shall be entitled to impose a £1.15 surcharge (or other such charge notified to the Client by Evri from time to time) against the Parcel in question.
Security surcharge
Make sure your parcel doesn’t contain any Dangerous Goods or Prohibited Items when sending it via Evri air transport. By sending a parcel, you’re confirming that it’s safe to ship. If we find any issues, a surcharge of £100.20 will apply.
Return to sender
If a parcel cannot be delivered and must be returned to the sender, the cost of return corresponds to the price of a new shipment.
Surcharge Data Correction
If the parcel data contains errors, like incorrect postcodes, HS codes, or any other issues that need fixing before shipment, Evri may correct them. Please be aware that a surcharge of £0.55 will apply for any changes made.
Peak surcharge
What are peak surcharges?
During Black Friday and Christmas, there is a radical increase in shipping volumes.
Shipping carriers charge peak season surcharges to ensure that service levels and the delivery experience are still maintained despite this influx of increased shipments during this period. These additional fees compensate for the additional costs shopping carriers face, including increased staffing and longer service hours. They are applied in addition to other, regular surcharges.
During the period 15.11.2024 - 10.01.2025, EVRi UK charges a surcharge of £0.07 per parcel.
Evri has prepared a document about the General Transport Conditions. If you waive the terms, an additional charge will be charged on your invoice. When you start shipping with Evri, you automatically agree to the following terms:
