DPD shipping conditions (France)

Purpose: in this article, you can find DPD shipping conditions. These are rules set by DPD for sending post and parcels. Some goods and substances may not be sent abroad. Keep in mind the international rules. This prevents customs from seizing or destroying your post.

Shipping to consumers and business addresses

DPD delivers parcels from Monday to Friday. Each parcel has its own weight and is labeled individually.

DPD classic

Shipping method features:

  • Delivers parcels form Monday to Friday.
  • Each parcel has its own weight and is labeled individually

Characteristics of the parcel:

  • Maximum belt circumference: 300cm
  • Maximum length: 200 cm (or check the calculator on the DPD website)
  • Maximum weight 30KG
Shipping locations by country code:

Standard: FR, MC.

 

DPD Classic (Europe) 

Shipping method features:

  • Delivers parcels from Monday to Friday.
  • Each parcel has its own weight and is labeled individually

Characteristics of the parcel:

  • Maximum belt circumference: 300cm
  • Maximum length: 175 cm (or check the calculator on the DPD website)
  • Maximum weight 30KG

Incoterm DDP: CH,LI

DPD Predict

Shipping method features:

  • Parcel is delivered to an address and the recipient can be notified by SMS to
    choose the delivery date and time slot that DPD offered.
  • Maximum weight per parcel: 30kg
  • Available within France metropolitan area, except zip codes 97000 to 97999

Characteristics of the parcel:

  • Maximum belt circumference: 300cm
  • Maximum length: 200 cm (or check the calculator on the DPD website)
  • Maximum weight 30KG
Only parcel shipments are eligible for the Predict method. Data must be transmitted by the DPD station before 8 pm. Recipients must reply before 11 pm.

Incoterm DDP: CH,LI
Incoterm DAP: GB,NO,CH,LI

DPD Relais

Shipping method features:

  • Parcels are delivered to one of our 5000 Pickup points and the recipient can be notified by mail or SMS to get his parcel there.
  • The Maximum weight per parcel: 20kg.
  • DPD Relais is available within France metropolitan area, except zipcodes 97000 to 97999.

Characteristics of the parcel:

  • Maximum belt circumference: 250cm
  • Maximum length: 100 cm (or check the calculator on the DPD website)
  • Maximum weight 20KG

DPD Retour 

Shipping method features:

  • Parcel returns through the Pickup points network
  • Maximum weight per parcel: 20kg
  • Available within France metropolitan area, except zipcodes 97000 to 97999

Characteristics of the parcel:

  • Maximum belt circumference: 250cm
  • Maximum length: 100 cm (or check the calculator on the DPD website)
  • Maximum weight: 30KG

DPD Classic Intercontinental

Shipping method features:

  • Parcel is delivered to the professionals or individuals via our DPD network.
  • France : Delivery at a workplace only
  • Other countries
  • Delivery according to the partner of the destination country-Maximum weight per parcel: 30kg

  • Maximum belt circumference: 300cm
  • Maximum length: 175 cm (or check the calculator on the DPD website)
  • Maximum weight: 30KG

Volumetric/dimensional weight surcharges

Volumetric weight calculations are only required for DPD Classic Intercontinental. Volumetric weight is calculated as L*W*H / 5000.

Exceeding the volumetric or dimensional weight will result in a surcharge from your carrier. Carriers choose to charge for the greater value of the two weights.
