Purpose: Notification to customers about our old plans (October 2020)
Sendcloud offers various subscriptions. These subscriptions vary in price from free to ascending. The higher your plan, the more functionalities you have and the higher the discounted rates for shipping. See prices.
However, you may still be using an outdated subscription. This option will expire from 1 January 2021.
This means that you can choose from one of the subscription types that Sendcloud currently offers. If you do not make a choice, you will automatically be transferred to our free variant “Essential” on 1 January. If you need more functionalities or if you want higher discounts on your shipping rates, you can also consider one of our more extensive subscriptions. Please note, when you use the tracking page and / or tracking e-mails, these functionalities may expire. These features are only partly available in the “Essential” plan.
What is the advantage of the new subscriptions?
With the old version you can no longer make optimal use of Sendcloud. The outdated plan has not been equipped with new functionalities for years.
How can I tell if I'm still on an outdated plan?
If you go to 'Subscriptions' within your settings, you can see if one of the four plans below is active (“Essential”, “Small shop”, “Large shop”, “Business”). If none of these plans are active and you see a blue banner at the top of the page, you are still on one of our old plans.
Why is the legacy plan no longer supported?
This older version does not have the latest updates and functionalities. In addition, our Software development teams can no longer support the old structure. This gives them more time for new developments that are available in one of our current subscription options. These also better match the functionalities you need.
How is it possible that I still have an old subscription?
Probably because you never made the switch to one of the subscriptions available today.
How can I switch to one of the subscriptions that are now offered?
Compare the different plans and functionalities on our website and determine which one suits you best. In your Sendcloud account you can activate a new plan yourself that will be active immediately. If you choose one of the three paid plans, you first start with a 14-day trial. This is automatically converted into a subscription unless you stop the trial. When you stop this, the free Essential plan will be activated. Each plan has different discounts that apply to shipments. This is based on your shipping volume. It can therefore be cheaper to go for a subscription with higher discounts per shipment.
What happens if I don't switch before January 1, 2021?
After January 1, 2021, you will automatically be transferred to our free “Essential” subscription. Like the legacy plan, this subscription is free. You only pay costs for the labels you create. Please note when your webshop uses the tracking page and / or tracking e-mails! These features are only partly available in the Essential plan. Its full functionality is only supported from the “Small shop” plan.
Is there a difference in the shipping rates?
Yes, Sendcloud offers cheaper shipping rates when you subscribe to a paid subscription with more features, and you automatically get a higher discount on your shipping rates. Here you can find an overview. It is also the case that access to certain functionalities can be different. Check carefully which plan suits your shop best. You can also load your own contract with carriers from the Small shop plan within Sendcloud.
