Attention: This article describes the use of the old portal, which still can be accessed by replacing /rp to /returns. We recommend reading the introduction of the new return portal.
Because you have now set up your own portal, your customers can generate their return label in 5 simple steps. We will explain how your customers or you can create such a return label step by step!
Creating return labels with the help of the return portal
Make sure you share the personal link to your return portal with your customers, this link can be found in settings -> returns in your panel. You can easily do this, for example, by adding it to your Track & Trace emails. Your customers can create their return through this link.
Click on the link and then click on the 'Start a return' button. The customer can enter the original shipment (the tracking number) and his / her zip code to look up the shipment. Click on 'Return details' to go to the next step.
On the next screen, the details which were previously entered for the original shipment will be shown. In step 2, the customer can fill in the reason for the return. And if desired, the customer can add an additional note. The customer can also indicate which products he wants to return!
When everything is filled in, the customer clicks on 'Choose Drop Off point'.
The nearest drop off location appears based on the customer's zip code. When the customer selects a servicepoint, the location is saved.
An overview of the return shipment is displayed. If some products are selected, they will be displayed here again. The data must be verified by the customer and if everything is approved, the customer can check the checkbox at the bottom of the screen and choose 'Print return label'.
The label can now be downloaded and printed. The customer delivers the package to the chosen service point and from that moment on it is possible to find the return in your SendCloud environment under the heading 'Returns'!
The rates for the return shipments can be found in your pricing list.
To do this, go to 'Settings' and then click on 'Carriers & Pricing'. At the top you will find a small menu; click here on 'Pricing list'.
Here you will find all activated carriers, but you can also view the rates for 'incoming shipments' when you have activated the return portal.
