UPS compares the volume weight (LxWxH in cm / 5,000) with the actual weight of the shipments as part of the tariff determination. Please note that always the higher value is to be used!

UPS Standard gives you the ability to schedule a pickup for the following business day. You have the option to enter a time slot of at least 2 hours in the afternoon. In the morning you can set up a collection either from 09:00 to 13:00 or from 11:00 to 13:00.
For the same day you can book a UPS Express pickup. The pickup request should be registered no later than 11:00. The time period for the earliest possible and latest possible pickup must be 5 hours.
The Standard pick up costs: 3,50€
The Express Abholung costs: 7,00€

UPS provides delivery service to residential addresses as well as business addresses. Residential delivery is one made to a home, including a business operating out of a home. For each residential delivery, an additional charge per shipment applies.

|Surcharge Large Package: A parcel is considered large when its overall dimensions exceed 299cm, but remains below 400cm. Large parcels are calculated with a minimum weight of 40kg. Additional surcharges are applied for large parcels
Surcharge Above the maximum size: Parcels weighing > 70kg or a length of more than 274cm or overall dimensions of > 400cm are excluded from transportation. Parcels of this size recorded in the UPS parcel system are charged with the additional surcharge for large parcels.

UPS Express and Express Saver
UPS Express Saver: fast and cheap delivery worldwide. Delivery is until the end of the day (Europe). For deliveries in the US / Canada, the duration is 2 days.
For deliveries to Asia, the duration is 3 days.
UPS Express: Next business day delivery until noon 12:00 throughout the country (national)
A package weighing more than 25 kg is considered a heavy parcel. Please note that a heavy package is not to be confused with an irregular package.
Labeling such parcels with the "heavy package" label and / or with the signal band is mandatory for our customers to protect UPS personnel handling these parcels. The signal band is a safety note that allows employees to adjust to a high weight before lifting the parcel.
UPS Paperless Invoice
UPS Paperless Invoice allows for customs documentation to be sent electronically to UPS, preventing the need to physically print and attach multiple copies of required documentation when shipping internationally. Your customs documents will automatically be forwarded to UPS when you print your shipping label via Sendcloud.

Special procedure for undeliverable shipments
All shipments within the EU, as well as all shipments within Germany which UPS was unable to deliver despite all efforts, are automatically returned with the UPS Standard Service (where offered). The return costs (including the transport costs and the fuel surcharge) will be charged to the sender. If, however, there are undeliverable shipments within Germany, the costs of the return (including the transport costs and the fuel surcharge) will be charged to the invoice recipient of the original shipping costs.
For all shipments to destinations outside the EU, UPS will contact the shipper and proceed with the shipment in accordance with its instructions. The shipping costs plus a processing surcharge will be charged to the sender for each undeliverable shipment.
Surcharge transport costs for return: € 5.65 per undeliverable shipment in addition to shipping costs.
This surcharge will be applied to all tariffs for dispatch and receipt
and the following additional services:
- Collection and delivery in external areas and areas difficult to access

List of Prohibited Items
The following articles are prohibited from shipment to all countries served by UPS:
- Alcoholic beverages
- Animal skins (non-domesticated)
- Articles of exceptional value (eg, works of art, antiques, precious stones, gold and silver)
- Dangerous goods/Hazardous materials (following IATA regulations for Express and Expedited, and following ADR regulations for Standard)
- Ivory and ivory products
- Live animals
- Money and negotiable items
- Perishable goods
- Personal effects (except via MBE Centres to selected countries)
- Pornographic materials
- Tobacco and tobacco products
- Unaccompanied baggage (except via MBE Centres to selected countries)
The following articles are generally prohibited from shipment (except by specific contract). However, they are allowed between the countries listed at ups.com/jewelry (subject to the restrictions applying to all shipments).
- Unset precious stones and industrial diamonds
- Jewelry and watches (other than costume jewelry and costume watches) exceeding USD 500 or local currency equivalent per package¹
¹ Costume jewellery and costume watches: jewellery and watches for which the retail price is lower than USD 150 per item and which do not contain precious metal(s) and/or stone(s).
Also prohibited are: goods moving under ATA Carnet and all temporary exports and imports; goods moving under FCR, FCT and CAD (CashAgainst Document); shipments with inherent vice, which by their nature are likely to soil, impair or damage persons, merchandise or equipment; goods, the carriage of which is prohibited by law in the country of origin,
transit or destination (eg. ivory and ivory products), goods which attract excise duty (eg. spirits) or which require special facilities, safety precautions or permits. Under applicable law, certain goods may be transported only
under prescribed conditions and certain goods are prohibited from transportation by air (eg. liquids in glass containers).
It is the shipper´s responsibility to comply with current government regulations or laws applicable in each country. Shipments are subject to inspection and possible delay by customs or representatives of other government authorities.
We reserve the right to refuse or suspend transportation of any package which does not set out contact details for shipper and receiver and of goods which, in our opinion, are not practicable for transportation or are not adequately described, classified or packed and labelled in a manner suitable for transportation and accompanied by necessary documentation.
We will not transport any goods which are prohibited by law or regulation of any federal, state or local government in the origin or destination countries or which may breach any applicable export, import or other laws or endanger the safety of our employees, agents and subcontractors or the means of transportation or, which in our opinion, soil, paint or otherwise damage other goods or equipment or which are economically or operationally impractical to transport.
Shipping prohibited articles on a contractual basis with UPS
Certain items we list as prohibited will be accepted by UPS on a contractual basis for shippers with regular volume and the ability to comply with all applicable regulations.
The items we can carry under certain criteria are:
- Alcoholic beverages
- Perishable goods
- Tobacco and tobacco products
Not all commodities can be shipped to all countries.

UPS does not agree to carry any prohibited articles. Without prejudice to any other provision in these terms or the UPS Terms and Conditions of Carriage, if it comes to the attention of UPS that a package contains any prohibited article, you must pay to UPS an additional minimum administration fee of 130 EUR in addition to any other applicable charges. Payment by you of such fee does not in any way limit or exclude your liability to UPS resulting from the breach of the UPS Terms and Conditions of Carriage nor does it mean that UPS accepts any liability, or waives any rights, in respect of such prohibited articles.
