Purpose: In this article, you will find UPS shipping terms. These are the rules set by UPS for shipping packages. Some goods, as well as substances, are not allowed to be shipped abroad. Pay attention to the international rules. This will prevent customs from confiscating or destroying your shipment. In the separate article, we would like to draw your attention to the surcharges of UPS.
UPS Shipping methods
UPS Standard
Fast home delivery worldwide with UPS. You can drop off your shipments at a service point for delivery or, alternatively, book a pickup at the panel (additional fee). It is also possible to arrange a regular pickup with UPS. The shipping method Standard can also be selected as a separate shipping method with delivery to a Service Point. We can also activate the Adult Signature shipping method for you.

What is the difference between UPS Express and Saver?
UPS Express Saver:
Fast and affordable delivery worldwide. Delivery is made by the end of the next business day (Europe).For deliveries to the USA / Canada: 2 days.
For deliveries to Asia: 3 days

Money-Back Guarantee for UPS Express Shipments
In order to claim a "money-back guarantee" (in case of late delivery of express shipments), the request must be received by us within 15 calendar days, starting from the actual scheduled delivery day.
Multicollo Shipments
Multicollo shipping is available for all UPS services.
Please note that Multicollo is not available for shipments that require a customs form.
Each ''Collo'' is allocated their own tracking number and individual tracking updates will be made. You can thus see how many shipments are associated with a package in the shipment detail view of your panel.
Dimensions and weight limits
Please note: UPS compares the volume weight (LxWxH in cm/5,000) with the actual weight of the shipments as part of the rate determination. Please note that the higher value is always to be applied!

UPS Pick ups
Due to the current situation, the daily deadline for requesting a UPS on-demand pickup has been changed until further notice.
The latest pick-up time is 6:00 p.m., which shifts the latest request time to either 3:00 p.m. or 4:00 p.m.
With UPS Standard, you can book a pickup for the following business day. Please specify a time window of at least 5 hours when booking the pickup.
For the same day, you can book a UPS Express pickup. The pickup order should be booked no later than 11:00. The period for the earliest possible and latest possible pickup must be 6 hours.
The collection will take place until 6:00 at the latest.
The Next-Day, pick up costs: €3.50
The Same-Day pickup costs: €7.00
A daily pickup is offered by UPS free of charge. Please contact us by e-mail for this purpose.
For 3-digit pickup quantities with UPS, a written request must first be made via UPS.

UPS Paperless Invoice
With UPS Paperless Invoice, customs documents can be sent to UPS electronically, eliminating the need to print and attach multiple copies of the required documents for international shipping. Your customs documents are automatically forwarded to UPS when you print your shipping label via Sendcloud.

Special procedure for undeliverable shipments
All shipments within the EU as well as all shipments within Germany that UPS could not deliver despite all efforts will be automatically returned using UPS Standard Service (where offered). The return shipping costs (including transportation costs and fuel surcharge) will be charged to the shipper. However, if the shipment is undeliverable within Germany, the return shipping charges (including transportation charges and fuel surcharge) will be charged to the invoice recipient of the original shipping charges.
For all shipments to destinations outside the EU, UPS will contact the shipper and handle the shipment according to the shipper's instructions. Shipping costs plus a handling surcharge will be charged to the shipper for each undeliverable shipment.
Surcharge transport costs for return: Please note, If your shipment cannot be delivered and the shipment is being returned to the sender, UPS will charge you a fee for this service.
An additional fee for the toll as well as the fuel surcharge are not estimated, these are already included in our prices.
Goods excluded from shipment
The following goods are not carried by UPS:
- Alcoholic beverages
- Skins of wild animals
- Objects of special value (e.g. works of art, antiques, precious stones, gold and silver)
- Hazardous materials
- Firearms
- Furs
- Ivory and ivory products
- Live animals
- Money and negotiable documents
- Perishable goods
- Personal effects (except via MBE Center to selected countries)
- Plants
- Pornographic material
- Seeds
- Tobacco and tobacco products
- Unaccompanied baggage (except via MBE Center to selected countries)
Shipping of the following items is generally prohibited (unless a special contract is in place). However, shipping is allowed between the countries listed on ups.com/jewelry (subject to restrictions that apply to all shipments).
- Unset gemstones and industrial diamonds
- Jewelry and watches (excluding costume jewelry and fashion watches) are valued at more than $500 or the equivalent in local currency per package¹.
¹ Fashion jewelry and watches: Jewelry and watches whose retail price is less than $150 per item and that do not contain precious metals and/or stones.
In other countries, additional goods may be excluded from shipment or subject to shipping restrictions. The shipper is responsible for compliance with the relevant legal requirements and regulations in the respective countries. The shipper is advised to observe the list of items excluded from the importation of the respective country.
UPS reserves the right to refuse or suspend the carriage of any package for which detailed contact information for the shipper and receiver is not provided. UPS also reserves the right to refuse or interrupt the transportation of any goods which, in the opinion of UPS, cannot be conveniently transported, or which are not adequately described, classified, packaged, or labeled for shipment, or which are not accompanied by the required documentation.
UPS will not transport goods that are prohibited by law in the country of origin or destination; that violate applicable export, import, or other regulations; that endanger the safety of our employees, agents or service providers or means of transportation; that, in UPS's judgment, contaminate, pollute or otherwise damage other goods; or that are not economically or operationally practicable to transport.
Shipping of goods excluded from transport with UPS on a contract basis:
Certain goods deemed excluded from shipment may be accepted by UPS on a contract basis, provided the shipper has a regular volume of shipments and can comply with all applicable regulations.
Not all goods can be shipped to all countries.

UPS will refuse to transport prohibited goods. Notwithstanding any other provision in these Terms and Conditions or the UPS Terms and Conditions of Carriage, if UPS becomes aware that a package contains Prohibited Goods, You must pay UPS a minimum administration fee of EUR 130 in addition to any other applicable charges. Payment of this fee by you in no way limits or excludes any liability to UPS due to a violation of the UPS Terms and Conditions of Carriage. Nor does it mean that UPS assumes any liability or waives any rights with respect to the transportation of such prohibited goods.
