International shipping

Important: For international shipments, it is necessary to include the recipient's local telephone number, either landline or mobile. In case of an incident, the carrier does not call Spanish numbers.

CTT Pickup Return Baleares Express/Economy

Return method characteristics:

  • The return shipment is delivered within 24 (Express)/48 (Economy) hours from Monday-Friday (excl. public holidays)
  • Only from the Balearic Islands and to Spain
  • Pickup scheduled for the next workday
  • Returns from the Balearic Islands to Portugal possible with a direct contract

  • Maximum length: 150 cm
  • Maximum weight: 40 kg
  • Maximum total size (width + length + height): 240 cm, with no measure exceeding 150 cm
  • Maximum volumetric weight: L x W x H/6000 = 167 kg/m³

Documentation required for shipping outside the European Union

For shipments outside the EU, you need to attach the following additional documents, in addition to those mentioned in our article on How to ship internationally with Sendcloud.

  • Invoice without VAT: It must include the total value (higher than 0 EUR). If not available, attach a detailed Declaration of Contents that includes sender's and the recipient's DNI/NIE. If the sender is not Spanish, a copy of their identity card is also required.
  • Waste: This document certifies that the export of the shipment will have a specific use at destination and is not a waste shipment to another country. Download and fill in this form.
  • Dual-use: This certifies that the contents of the shipment will not have a military use. Download and fill in this form.
  • CITES: This certifies that the exported products are not included in the list of endangered species of wild fauna and flora. Download and complete this form.

For shipments to the United Kingdom, the EORI number of the sender and recipient must be included on the invoice or declaration of contents.

For shipments to the United States, the currency used on the invoice or declaration of contents must be US dollars.

Pickups

Incidental pickups are not available with CTT Express. Instead, you can use Pick & Ship shipping methods, which include "Recogida" (pickup) in their name. There are two pickup options: morning (08:00-14:00) and afternoon (14:00-20:00). The price of these shipping methods includes a 0.50 EUR-fee per parcel that needs to be picked up.

Note: A minimum of 1000 parcels per month is required to schedule a recurring pickup. There is a maximum of 99 parcels per pickup. In case you don't have any parcels, contact your local office well in advance. If they show up and you don't have any parcels, a fee of 1.18 EUR will be charged.

Claims

Coverage

In accordance with the provisions of the Contract of Land Transport of Goods, CTT Express will compensate 6,28 EUR per kilogram and such compensation may never exceed the value of the shipped goods.

Deadlines

CTT Express applies the following maximum legal deadlines:

  • Concealed damage or lack of contents detected after delivery: 7 calendar days from the date of delivery.
  • Damage declared at the time of delivery, lost and/or shipments that do not arrive at their destination for other reasons: 1 calendar year from the date of delivery.

Required information

To process your claim as efficiently as possible, provide as many details as possible and do not forget to attach the following documents:

  • Letter of complaint written by the customer
  • Proof of purchase value
  • Photographs of the packaging, protections, shipping label and damage to the merchandise in case of damage

Claim settlement

For loss claims, as stated in the Contract of Land Transport of Goods, the maximum investigation period is 21 days. After this time, and if the claim is accepted, the claim will be settled.

Delivery methods for direct contracts only

Apart from the additional services mentioned above, such as DAP, DDP or COD, there are some shipping methods that Sendcloud offers only for those users who have a direct contract with CTT Express integrated in their account.
If you use one of these methods, you will be shipping at your own negotiated rates. Contact your Account Executive at CTT Express to check whether these methods are included in your contract, or to negotiate the conditions.

Failure to comply with the agreed transport conditions of CTT Express may result in you receiving a surcharge. When you ship with CTT Express, you automatically agree to these conditions.
