Purpose: In this article you will find an overview of the options per UK carrier.
The options for a fixed collection depend on your shipping volume per month. It is possible to have your packages collected for free when you ship a minimum of 100 shipments per month. Each carrier has different conditions and guidelines with regard to the collection of packages.
Pick-up possibilities DPD
Due to the severe delays at the port of Dover following the decision by the French government to close the border with the UK on Sunday, and the consequent backlog we now face, our European road services to continental Europe are suspended until Monday 4 January.
DPD has a number of conditions as well before we can arrange a fixed pick-up for you.
If you have a monthly volume between 100-300 shipments, DPD can plan your pick-up on route. This means that DPD comes along during working days (between 9 AM and 5 PM) to collect the shipments which you have prepared.
If your volume is larger than 300 shipments per month, we can request a time window for you.
Take into account a processing time of 5 working days to start the pick-up completely!
Pick-up possibilities UPS
Only with UPS it is possible to have one shipment picked up at your address or the address of your customer.
A pick-up for the next day with UPS costs 3.25 euros. If you schedule the collection for the day itself (this is only possible in combination with the UPS Express Saver shipping method), the costs may be higher. This depends on the route they have to take.
In addition to the incidental collection, it is also possible to have UPS collect your packages on a daily basis. The costs for this are 10 euros per week.
You can learn in this article how to schedule an incidental collection with DHL or UPS.
