Purpose: Learn about the requirements for packages weighing 10–20 kg sent to, from, or via Germany.
Weigh requirements Germany
Starting from January 2025, all parcels weighing more than 10 kg and shipped to Germany must have a special icon on the shipping label. Parcels between 10 and 20 kg require a different icon than parcels weighing more than 20 kg.
What do you need to do?
The shipping label will automatically be adjusted and requires no action from you. However, it's important to ensure the weight is correctly filled in at label details.
What happens if I do not fill in the correct weight?
Failure to provide the accurate weight of the parcel can result in surcharges, delays, relabeling fees, or shipments being returned to the sender. It's therefore crucial that you fill in the correct weight.
